Purpose of the service (resident support and customer care)
The Housing Authority of the City of Augusta, Georgia (AHA) uses SMS messaging to communicate with residents and applicants who have voluntarily initiated contact or explicitly requested assistance via text. SMS is used to answer resident questions, provide customer service, coordinate appointments, request documentation, respond to maintenance or housing-related inquiries, and provide updates regarding resident-requested services. Messages are conversational and are sent only in response to resident requests or with the resident’s prior consent.
How do I opt in?
Residents can initiate communication by texting the AHA telephone number 706-251-8460, by requesting SMS communication during interactions with Housing Authority staff, or by submitting the signup form through our website.

Message frequency will be determined by the frequency in which you request assistance

AHA does not charge for using SMS, but your provider may have data/SMS charges
