A 6 Member Board of Commissioners appointed by the Mayor serves as the Governing Body for the Augusta Housing Authority. Five Board Members (Dr. Rodger Murchison, Reverend Kenneth Martin, Patricia Walker, Dr. Carol Jones Yancy, and David Steele) Serve 5-Year Terms and a Resident Commissioner (Donald Hill) Serves a 1-Year Term. The Board meets monthly at the Reid Administration Building located at 1435 Walton Way.

 Augusta Housing Authority will hold Regular Board Meetings open to the public on the third Thursday of each month at 9:00 a.m. The meetings will be held in the Board Room of the Augusta Housing Authority’s Administrative Office building, located at 1435 Walton Way, Augusta, Georgia.

Meetings are subject to change based on commissioner schedules.

Due to ongoing COVID-19 concerns, effective today all inspections for the time period of 1/7/2021 through 1/22/2021 have been canceled to protect our staff, landlords/agents, and clients. At your earliest convenience, please contact your assigned case manager to reschedule the inspection(s) to a later date. In addition, re-inspections that are currently on the Inspection Calendar will not be abated during this time period. It is anticipated that AHA will begin conducting those previously scheduled re-inspections on 1/22/2021.
