Important Notice: Federal Government Shutdown Update
During the current Federal Government shutdown, the Augusta Housing Authority remains committed to keeping you informed about the status of Housing Assistance Payments (HAP) and Utility Allowance Payments (UAP).
As a reminder, the Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Program is fully funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and does not receive funding from any other source.
We are pleased to confirm that all HAP and UAP payments for November and December 2025 will be processed and issued as scheduled. Should the shutdown continue, we will provide timely updates regarding payments beyond December. Please note that tenants are still responsible for paying their portion of rent as usual during this period.
We understand that this situation may cause concern and inconvenience, and we want to assure you of our ongoing commitment to transparency and communication. For the latest updates, please visit our website at www.augustapha.org.
Thank you for your patience, understanding, and continued partnership during this challenging time.
